When I blogged about 7-11 opening up in the former Princeton Sports building on Little Patuxent Parkway, I apologize for burying the lead. That's because local mom and The Merriweather Post reader Alice Flester Pax is opening a Nothing Bundt Cakes in the space next door! Founded in Las Vegas in 1997, Nothing Bundt Cakes now has over 300 locations country wide. The franchise is currently expanding into the DMV, with locations open already in Silver Spring and Gaithersburg, another set to open in Annapolis this summer, and a half dozen more in Northern Virginia.
The corporate website describes itself as follows: “Nothing Bundt Cakes is famous for its handcrafted, delicious cakes that come in a wide variety of flavors, including Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet, White Chocolate Raspberry, Lemon and Confetti. Bakeries offer 10-inch cakes, 8-inch cakes, Bundtlets and bite-sized Bundtinis, as well as charming gifts to complement any occasion or celebration.”
You can check out the Nothing Bundt Cakes website for the menu and cake flavors, and pricing over at the Gaithersburg location.
In addition to 7-11 and Nothing Bundt Cakes, the building still has ~5,600 square feet of retail remaining, so there is still room for another two or three tenants.
